Over the weekend my rear tire went flat for some reason. Figured it was a leak of some severity and so time to get the tire replaced. I've been driving on a set of Metzler Sportec both front and rear. My back-end has always been a bit squirrely driving on the freeway and such, going around turns, etc. It's something I always figured was just part of driving a 'cycle. Well, taking the bike to Burbank Kawasaki, they had only Michelin's available in my size. So I went with it, just swapping out the rear. It's amazing how much nicer the new tire feels to drive with. After 1 round trip to work and home (and now back to work) the turns just feel right on. Something I wasn't expecting in a tire I was "settling" for.
